Build a Product
For all my life, I have either worked for or run businesses that focus on services. I always had a dream of starting a product company but felt I never had the DNA in me. Building a product company means a long gestation period, that steadfast vision and perseverance, the deep pockets to invest for the first year, no revenues while the product is being built and worse, no guarantee of success once launched. It’s an uphill game and that’s why I have a deep respect for entrepreneurs who can build products.
This year, as part of the Discomfort Project, I made a list of things I desperately want to do but never could because of the fear of failure. Building a product company was one such. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and build a short video platform.
One of my other discomfort projects was to focus on video production and this tied in beautifully. And thus was born the idea of developing a short video platform called 60 Seconds?. It’s a project that’s close to my heart and would greatly appreciate if you can show your love and support by downloading the app and giving it a spin.
