World’s tallest building in India? According to About.com and the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, Lehigh University, this could be true. The building will have 224 stories. That’s three times the number of stories The Petronas Towers in Malaysia has. It will be constructed in Katangi, near Jabalpur in Madya Pradesh in 2008. The building is financed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (of the Beatles fame ) and it will now be his new world headquarters. Now here’s the cake…. the firm that is contracted to build this site is the same one that built the World Trade Centre. Take a look at the picture of the buiding. Can’t say if this is true. There’s no mention of it in the official Maharishi website. Besides, the same About.com site which says the building will be built in India contradicts itself by saying it will be built in Sao Paulo, Brazil !! ( Via Saravana )
