The Beeb Goofs Up !

I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much after seeing a video. So much that my tummy ached. This is brilliant I tell you.

Here’s the heads up. BBC is doing a story on the Apple v/s Beatles court story and they invite Guy Kewney, editor of newswireless.net, to the TV studio to give his expert comments. The producer of the show goes to the wrong reception and asks for Guy. Guess who raises the hands? Guy Goma, a guy from Congo, who had come in for a job interview.

And what follows is simply hilarious. Those face expressions of Goma, when he realises the goofup, are absolute gems.

BBC Interviewer: Were you surprised by this verdict today?
Mr Goma: I am very surprised to see… this verdict to come on me because I was not expecting that.

You must give it to the BBC. They covered this incident in their entertainment section of their website. How appropriate! And it still beats me how they can mistake a black guy for a white guy!!
