Mothers Day Gifts

At 7 pm last night, it suddenly stuck me that its Mothers Day and I haven’t done anything about it yet. I called my wife and coincidentally she was thinking about the same thing. We mulled over for a couple of minutes to think of a suitable gift and Saris were a clear winner by a big margin. So, we picked both my mom and her mom and headed out to one of the big sari shops in T.Nagar. As expected, the moms took a couple of hours to select the saris. They would have taken longer had the shop attenders not given subtle hints of closing by switching off the lights.

For us, it was the glint of happiness in their eyes that was precious. Priceless. A night to remember.
