Finally Catching up With the Five Point Someone
While reading the newspaper yesterday, I came across an advert for ‘Five Point Someone’, a play based on the best-selling novel by Chetan Bhagat. I know its happening in Chennai on the first week, though I don’t recall exactly the venue or the date. But what I do recall is buying this book about an year and half ago. Other than lending it to a couple of friends (and successfully getting it back), I hadn’t ventured so far as a page into the book.
The play gave me the motivation to dust out the book from my rather well stocked book shelf. I felt I could appreciate the play much better after I read the book. Like how I used to mug MLTR’s lyrics before heading out their live concert, way back in college. And it make me feel good singing out loud as against just swaying.
Anyways, back to the book. It’s one of the best I have read off late. So engrossing that I finished it in under 5 hours. Maybe because I could relate the book so much to my own engg college days.
I know I’m really late in catching this book but I’m glad I caught that advt in the paper. Now, to fish out more details about the play. I’m like so looking forward to it.
