On the Lecturing Circuit
Last week saw me deliver two lectures. The first one was at a pure play public relations firm called 20:20 Media and appropriately enough, the topic was on ‘Blogging as a PR tool‘. What’s interesting at this lecture is that this is the first time I’m delivering one to a corporate company at 7:00 in the morning. Yeah, *that* early and was pleasantly surprised to find people dressed in formal attire, ties et al.
The second lecture was at Madras Christian College (MCC) and the topic was on ‘Emerging New Media Technologies‘. The audience were post grad students from the communications dept. Pretty enthu crowd who get good encouragement from Susan, one of the coolest HODs I’ve seen. I’ve been a regular on her invitation list. Infact, when she was earlier heading the Mass comm depts at Womens Christian College (WCC) and MOP Vaishnav, I got invited to present to the students there.
Anyways, back to MCC. I was eagerly looking forward to go to the campus. Heard a lot about its fantastic deep wooded campus. Impressive. But for a 180 year old college, I had anticipated some magnificient colonial buildings. That was a kind of a let down. Nevertheless, the college does have its own charm.
Here’s a coupla ‘eastman color’ sepia toned snaps taken out of the college’s handycam.
